And they will be dropping into BikeWise once again....

AS "Dropping" into BikeWise once again will be the North East Air Support Unit from Newcastle.
The aircraft will be 'based' at Police HQ Durham during the day but will leave if any incidents need it's support.
The unit was originally formed in 1995 - the same year that BikeWise originated and has provided some fantastic service to the residents of Northumbria, Durham & Cleveland over the years.
This will be a great opportunity to see the aircraft on the ground at close quarters instead of racing or hovering overhead.

You spin me right round.... (Well motorschool will)

Durham Constabulary's driver trainers will be out at BikeWise once again, showing you how a vehicle can react under adverse weather conditions with the aid of the skid pan.
If you've never experienced the skidpan - then make an effort to get to the show early to book your ride as there are only a limited amount of rides available throughout the day and it's an opportunity that you shouldn't miss.
The driver trainers are some of the best drivers in the country and you will be able to ask them any questions about driving.

Dog Section will be 'barking' at you..

Durham Constabulary's four legged '"friend's will once again be at BikeWise to show off their skills along with their handler's. The display by the dog section is always one of the most popular attractions at BikeWise as it give's everybody an opportunity to see what a valuable assett the dog's are to Police Officers during the course of their work.
Times of the displays will be posted closer to the date of the show.

Airraid FMX to 'fly' at BikeWise 2010

The Airraid display is a fast flowing dynamic family show, which mixes the traditional motorcycle act with freestyle motocross.
Freestyle motocross is a fast growing action sport offering the combination of suspense, thrill and danger which guarantees to offer a heart stopping show.
Airraidfmx riders are experienced and highly professional enabling them to perform leaps over cars, Tanks, Model hot air balloons……. Leaping through walls of fire is not only very popular but also spectacular when performed at dusk.
Their own commentator also doubles up as a fire breather to bring a new dimension to the fire display entertaining the audience.
The show is a choreographed routine that offers action packed, high flying Arial manoeuvres at heights of up to 30 ft to land on their customized landing ramp.
Within reason adverse weather is not too much of a problem for the team, they will always endeavour to perform a pulse racing show.
After the show you are welcome to meet the riders for autograph signings and view the bikes.

Ducati Roadshow to attend BikeWise 2010

The Ducati Roadshow continues in 2010 bringing its event truck and demonstration fleet to even more events and bike meetings throughout the UK than last year.
The demonstrator fleet showcases the 2010 range including the new and much heralded Multistrada 1200. The Multistrada will be undoubtedly be a popular choice to test ride as this ‘four-bikes-in-one’ has wowed many with its performance, versatility and technological advancement.
Although the Multistrada will be the beacon of attention for many, it will not be overshadowed by a test fleet that includes the iconic Monsters - now with an ABS option, the Hypermotard 796 and 1100 Evo, the muscular Streetfighter and the fleet would not be complete without its majestic Superbikes including the stunning 1198 and the cornering gem that is the 848.
To take a test ride at any of these events, riders must have a valid motorcycle licence (both parts required) and appropriate clothing and safety gear. Local dealership staff will be on hand to give expert technical and service advice and trained riders will be there to guide all test rides.
The Ducati UK event truck along with a fleet of up to 14 demonstrator and 6 display bikes will make its first stop in Stafford at the Classic Motorcycle show on the 24th and 25th April before visiting a further 20 venues across the UK throughout the summer, finishing the season at BikeWise 2010
